Dixon Place is proud to present a variety of Literary Series curated by NYC's finest connoisseurs of fiction, sci-fi, and poetry.

Experiments and Disorders
With this series, curators Charlotte Meehan & Sarah Gambito presents a wide cultural and stylistic range of emerging and established writers who break the boundaries between fiction, poetry, and plays. By bringing audiences a cross-section of risk-taking writers distinguished by their highly individual use of language, the series curators aim to involve a diverse audience in the flux of new poetic forms. Such writers as Ruth Danon, Catherine Imbriglio, Craig Watson, Keith and Rosmarie Waldrop, Jude Laure Denis, David Hopkins, Jay Key, Greg Lichtenberg, Angela Pneuman, April Krassner, Jorge Ignacio Cortiñas, Edward Carey, Elizabeth McCracken, Jason Lucero, Macgregor Card, Lara Stapleton, Jan Clausen, and Anthony Tognazzinihave read their new works in this series. Past curators have included; Sherry Mason and Paul Foster Johnson.

aka Queer Text (formerly Homotext)

This series focuses on new literary work by queer writers. It has featured such writers as Christopher Bram, Kate Clinton, Stephanie Grant, Stephen Greco, Scott Hightower, A.M. Homes, Jaime Manrique, Leslea Newman, Gerry Gomez Pearlberg, David Plante, Sarah Schulman, Paul Selig, Susan Thames, David Trinidad, Mark Wunderlich, Eileen Myles, Nate Lippens, Thorn Kief Hillsbery, Blair Mastbaum, Sara Jaffe, Jess Arndt, Julia Bloch, Julian Brolaski, Renee Gladman, and Anna Joy Springer. Gerry Gomez Pearlberg was the founding curator of Homotext in 1995, followed by curators Michael Klein, Jill Dearman, Pamela S. Booker, and Sara Seinberg. QT is now curated by Sara Marcus. Belladonna
Belladonna is a reading series and small press that promotes the work of women writers who are adventurous, experimental, politically involved, multi-form, multicultural, multi-gendered, impossible to define, delicious to talk about, unpredictable, and dangerous with language.
