May
2004 @ Makor/Steinhardt Center
WARNING:
Not For Broadway, or the Met Either is a semi-annual festival
of new musical theater and opera works and works-in-progress.
Curator Richard S. Bach, owner and operator of Marion's
Continental and
The Slide, initiated the festival in 2001. WNFB places
emphasis on works that seek to stretch the
genres
of “musical
theater” and “opera,” experiment with
structure, overturn convention, celebrate controversy, redefine
gender, and explore collaboration on multi-media. While Dixon
Place has been operating “in exile”, the May
2004 WNFB Festival will be held at the Makor/Steinhardt
Center.
