Catherine
Porter (Development Director) spent three years as Dixon Place's
Administrative Director before becoming Development Director in
1999. She also served as Interim Director in winter 2001 while Executive
Director Ellie Covan was on sabbatical. Ms. Porter is co-founder
and Co-Artistic Director of the NYC site-specific performance company,
Peculiar Works Project, with whom she also acts. In addition, she
has performed Off Broadway in Mac Wellman's Obie Award-winning Crowbar
with En Garde Arts, and in many Off-off Broadway productions with
such companies as the 78th Street Theatre Lab, The Cloven Patriarchs,
Empty Space Theatre, Manhattan Punch Line and many others. Ms. Porter
also works with HERE Arts Center in Soho, serving as Individual
Giving and Special Events Coordinator. A Texas native, Catherine
graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth with a BFA
in Theatre. She is a member of Actors Equity Association and the
Step Up Women's Network, an organization for women in the entertainment
industry. |
